The real cause of attention deficit disorder

Do you procrastinate at work? Do you feel unmotivated, unfocused and easily distracted?

Then maybe you  have ADD.

Attention Deficit Disorder is commonly diagnosed to people who suffer with these symptoms however, in the UK (where I am from) ADD isn’t something doctors really diagnose or treat. When I moved to the US I thought it was great that America had managed to give a name to the “illness” I had suffered from for a large part of my professional career. How fantastic i thought – not only do they have a name for this condition but they  also have drugs to treat it!

However, through my work at The New World Institute I have begun to realize that many people who think they are suffering from ADD are more likely to be  suffering from  a condition called or JNIID or “Just Not Into It Disorder”

JNIID suffers experience very similar symptoms to people with ADD but the cause of their “illness” comes from a lack of interest and passion around whatever they are trying to focus on. This manifests itself in suffers not being able to complete simple tasks at works,  procrastinating over projects and tasks and spending much of their time dreaming about what else they could be doing. JNIID suffers are also likely to say things like “I live for the weekend” and refer to their work as something that “pays the bills.”

Unfortunately, the medical world does not recognize the condition of JNIID because a) I just made it up and b) it does not sound nearly as medically authentic as ADD!   Drugs like Adderall have been over prescribed to people for years to help them deal with issues that often stem from being being bored at work or with life in general.  The New World Institute has developed a program called “Discover Remarkable Work’* that can help not only alleviate the symptoms of JNIID but also identify and correct the issues that are causing them.

Through 12 years of research and development the Discover Remarkable Work* is proven to be the best way of  finding focus, motivation , balance and enjoyment in you work while while allowing a person to identify their calling and purpose.  Loving what you do is no longer a pipe dream for many people – it is a reality that more and more of our customers are starting to realize brings tangible benefits including stronger relationships, better health, better concentration and financial security.

If you can identify work or a career that feels like a hobby then it stops feeling like work , you weekends begin to feel 5 days longer and you start to wish you had more hours in the day rather than counting down the minutes to each hour on a Monday afternoon.

So – for all of you who think you might have JNIID then go to The New World Institute and discover an alternative solution that could be the a much healthier solution to an age old problem.
